He goes on to list many of the surprising contradictions found in the Qur'an. He shows how the Qur an claims that Allah can say one thing today, and then change it tomorrow. Is Allah error free? Of interest are the statements in the Qur'an which clearly connect people who even secular history reveal lived over 1,000 years apart.

A good place to start
By biggest AKUS fan
If you are thinking of reading the Qu'ran read it before you read books about it so that you don't start with any preconceived prejudices then this book will help you get a basic idea of the Qu'ran highlighting the things which you will have missed I say that in that the Qu'ran is a difficult book to read. If you do want a good book to help you understand the Qu'ran I recommend "The Original Sources of the Qu'ran" by the Rev William St Clair Tisdall available from Amazon which is a must read for anyone wanting to understand the Qu'ran. If you just want ammo to fire at Muslims on the street you should not be trying to reach out to Muslims because your attitude is wrong although this book would help in that sense.

Honest and informative

I found this book very insightful and appealing in it's level of honesty and in it's down to Earth delivery. There have been far too many apologists who fail to take islam to the test. Is it truth or sham. In a world of many voices, it is good to hear one say, let us reason with this subject intelligently.
