Yes, you will want to read this

Brown has once again delivered. This, the second book in the series, is a fitting follow up to "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers)". It's pretty obvious she is a student of history because she incorporates it so well in unexpected ways into a time travel fantasy.
We join Maggie and Winn with their small band of outcast two years after the events in "The Legend of the Bloodstone".
Maggie and Winn struggle to find a place to call home for not only themselves and their daughter, Kwetii, but also Winn's two brothers, a sister, a nephew, and Rebecca, a young English girl, who was saved by Makedewa, Winn's youngest Powhatan brother, during the 1622 Massacre. Trying to avoid the English and not completely trusting the Paspahegh people they have to move frequently trying to keep their small family alive.
Marcus makes a surprise appearance in 1624 looking for not only Maggie but his son, Benjamin. Maggie had thought she had sent Benjamin to the future to his father but he never showed up. Maggie, Winn, and Benjamin are a complicated threesome since for a short time Maggie was married to Benjamin. A time during which she thought her Indian husband, Winn, was dead.
Ok, now comes the hard part for me not to spoil the twist and turns that so makes this a book worth reading. So forgive me for being vague from this point on. :) Hey, you don't really want me to ruin the surprises for you. They're part of the fun. Let's just say that from the time Marcus shows up back in Maggie's life the relationship between Maggie and Winn once again becomes completed.
Maggie struggles even more with trying to fit her twenty-first century feminine mentality with the realities of living in the seventeenth century. Meanwhile Winn has his own struggle trying to decide where he fits with his mixed heritage.
As a nice little subplot Makedewa and Rebecca dance around their attraction for each other. Rebecca has some pretty serious issues.
Expect plot twists, anger over lies, anguish, sorrow and a broken heart or two. Also expect to thoroughly enjoy the read!
Would recommend this book to anyone.

Time Travel, Native American Action and Romance

What can I say?! I am attaching quite easily to these characters. This book was told beautifully from the points of view of many. There is an excellent surprise in the beginning and the dramatic tension stayed at just the right pitch throughout the novel.
I was happy to hear more from Rebecca and Makadewa! I am eager to see how that plays out. I will miss Teyas, too and hope to find that she is happy.
I was only confused a bit during a part when Maggie was really angry at her guardian for not telling her more information when she was growing up. This didn't make sense to me because she had already learned how she and her family would have been in danger if she knew more information. I read and re-read that part thinking I might have missed something. Maybe I did. But, that behavior by Maggie annoyed me.
I read the first 1/3 or so on my kindle and then did the whispersync with audible. I wish I stuck to reading with my eyes. I have listened to hundreds of books over the years and I can honestly say that this girls narration was the absolute worst! She did Maggie like a whiny 10 year old! Not how I imagined Maggie to sound at all. All of the Indian men sounded identical in a deep monotone, all of the Norse men sounded identical in a deep Scottish-like monotone. She would animatedly cry a line like: "But, I love you" followed by: Maggie whispered. I kept being distracted! That was not a whisper!
Anyway, that is not the book's fault and did not want my rating to reflect the awful listening experience. I can't wait for the next one!

A fascinating mix of mythology and magic as The Legend of the Bloodstone Continues

In `Return of the Pale Feather'; the second book in best-selling author E.B. Brown's `Time Walkers' trilogy we return to 17th century America and the growing conflict between the English and the Powhatan tribe. Maggie and Winn have developed a life for themselves outside the tribe with Winn serving as an ambassador between the tribe and the English. Soon their lives are affected by the return of a legendary warrior known as Pale Feather.
Pale Feather's return serves as a building block that fills in some of the backstory of the first book and sets the foundation for the proposed third book in the trilogy. Once again E.B. Brown brings us an engrossing journey through early America while expanding the story with a fine dose of Norse mythology that enriches the story and characters for the better. In fact, at times, you feel Ms. Brown is even more comfortable writing about Norse myth than she is Native American myth but she manages to mix them well.
Brown deftly plays the conflicts between her various characters, as the second book is more about internal conflicts than external battles. The fight for relationship dominance between Maggie and Winn again offers some emotional and playful scenes as both characters continue to grow with each other. It results in E.B Brown's restrained style of erotic tease that works perfectly enough to get any reader in the mood.
As `Return of the Pale Feather' reaches its conclusion, Ms. Brown hits every emotional note when blood is shed, bonds are made, and new pieces of the Time Walkers legend are revealed leaving the reader hungry for the next book.
