About the Author
Professor Yasir Suleiman is the first holder of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Sa'id Chair of Modern Arabic Studies and a Fellow of King's College, Cambridge. His many published works include A War of Words: Language and Conflict in the Middle East (2004), The Arabic Language and National Identity: A Study in Ideology (2003), The Arabic Grammatical Tradition: A Study in Tal'liil (1999), Literature and Nation in the Middle East (edited with Ibrahim Muhawi, 2006), Language and Society in the Middle East and North Africa (editor, 1999), Arabic Grammar and Linguistics (editor, 1998), Language and Identity in the Middle East and North Africa (editor, 1996) and Arabic Sociolinguistics: Issues and Perspectives (editor, 1994).

Diasporic suffering released -- powerful and resonant.

A collection from dozens of Palestinians who present, in personal brief essays, their recollections, photos, memories shared from grand-parents or self--of homeland and their longed for return. Should be incorporated into school reading lists, book clubs and serialized all across North America to become part of the now vast and growing body of literature concerning human rights for indigenous peoples everywhere. Really best war story of Palestin!

Really best war story of Palestin and the author Yasir discovered it very talent way. Actually fast paced book full of suspense. The dialogue was real and the writing was tight, there was no filler. It's a spine tingling novel, and it kept me guessing til the very end. I strongly recommended the book!

Real perspectives, by people with experience, depth of perception and a sense of history. Very Informative. Fresh viewpoints, that are often silenced.
